i cannot embed video in the blog post

i am using drupal 5.1 and have the FCKeditor module. when i try to put a embed video code in my blog post i get the code as is. i am using full HTML setting but then also i am not able to embed the video on the website. this is how my post looks:

He went on and said that DSL service by Verizon shouldn’t be considered broadband. Walt mentions about the iPhone at about 6:50 in the video.

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nu71wYb4rfc&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nu71wYb4rfc&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Rather then showing the video it shows the code what can i do to get the video.

Try inserting only the Http: portion

I am not using FCK but Wysiwig Pro. I was having the same problem though and in my editor, I found that it worked fine when I used just the http://www.youtube.com/v/nu71wYb4rfc&hl=en

It looks to me like you are trying to use one of the customized video surrounds for your video. That is why there is all the lettering after the .com because it references the customizations you selected.

In my editor I just click on "other media" / "embed" / and then insert the http: portion in as the source. The only thing I generally change is the screen size and that is simple when I then look at the source information and just go in and change the height and width.
