I used node author module but there was problem with image display, it would display node author's details but no image. So, if anybody has an idea about it, please suggest me!

I don't see a node author.module in the downloads area. Could you be more specific ?

Why not use Drupal cores built in user pictures ?

administer -> user settings to enable the user pictures
then goto administer -> themes -> configure tab and check the checkboxes where you want these to display ie: noeds &/or comments.
