different formatters like in imagefield

I wonder if it's possible to give the module some more formatters for imagecache. It would be great to set the formatters (different formatters) in the field-view-menue of the conten type like the imagefield moduel does. Do you think this feature could be done in feature releases? Asset/the asset field would become more flexible and make asset to one of the most powerful modules (ok, it IS powerful, however it is weak in displaying/formatting the display. At least thinking of imagefield).
