Hello,
It appears that this module is "abandoned" I would be interested in taking it over and formally getting it ported over to 5.x and eventually 6.x. According to some of the "rules" I need to post this request here and receive "permission" from the original module author.
Thanks,
Scott

crunchywelch commentedHi Scott,
It appears you do not have a cvs account yet, is that correct? Once you get one I can give you cvs commit access to the module and you can take over maintenance of it. More information on applying for cvs access can be found here: http://drupal.org/node/59
I have to say, are you certain you want to continue development on this module? There are many more mailing related modules that are much more active and reliable. This one is notoriously bad and difficult to keep maintained since it is backed against phplist, which is its own complete can of worms. Other mailing modules are:
Email Newsletters
Mail
mailman mailing list admin
Mailman Manager
Organic groups
Simplenews
CiviCRM/CiviMail
Thanks!

dalinAs someone who also rolled a few patches for this module I can confirm crunchywelch's sentiments. This module was abandoned for a reason. Bridges are notoriously difficult to get working and are rarely the best option.
May I suggest the simplenews module, or if that does not have enough features for you I would recommend CiviMail and if you're a non-profit the CiviSMTP service.

avpadernoI am closing this issue because there has not been any follow-up action as described in How to become project owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer from the person who opened this offer.
