Hi everyone

I have relaunched the Newswatch (http://www.newswatch.in) site, and of course it has been remade with Drupal. I am calling this a Beta version primarily because the site isn't populated much.

Just briefly:
i) Two major section pages: NewsBlog and Features. Other section pages will be developed as and when there is sufficient content to play around with.
ii) The site makes extensive use of Contemplate, CCK, Views, NodeQueue and Node Images: best example for a variety of such combinations would be the homepage itself
iii) Number of content types: 16
iv) Total number of TPL files: almost 100
v) Number of regions (as of now): 16

Hi,

I had a look at the new site and was really impressed by the design and layout of the site. The site loads pretty fast and the positioning of the ad content is well thought out. Congratulations and wish you the best!!

It would be great if you can provide some details about what were your hosting requirements (Drupal version,.htaccess, cron jobs,etc.) and which were the hosts that you evaluated? Also if you can provide some tips for Drupalers in India who want to find Drupal friendly hosts it would be of immense help.

I'm new to Drupal, less than 1 week, and I have been looking around for a Content Management System solution for an Online News Publishing Project. I'm very impressed by the quality, layout & content of your site. I wish I could get a Case Study or walkthrough of how you implemented your site from scratch.

All the same, wonderful work. Drupal is now a major candidate for my solution.
