Last night I posted the first draft of a document called Beginner's Guide To Drupal. The goal of the document is to provide a downloadable resource that provides an overview of the Drupal platform while addressing areas of functionality (like managing media and preventing spam) that are concerns for all community site developers these days.

The guide is not meant to be a "how to" for Drupal. It is meant to be a general reference for people asking questions like "What is Drupal?" or "What are the capabilities of Drupal?".

Since publishing this first draft I've already found a few typos and formatting errors that I'll address in a new version very soon. Please take a look and let me know what your thoughts are on this document.

I have taken a quick look and this is a great tool for the introduction to Drupal to both techies and non-techies. Thanks, I will be following the progress.

Dude,

I have to admit you are a "force majeure" in CMS.

I updated Beginner's Guide To Drupal last night. I added some new Drupal books that have been released or will be released soon. Also added a link to the D.C. Drupalcon and cleaned up some typos.

You can always find and download the latest version at http://learnbythedrop.com/beginners-guide-to-drupal.
