6.x Modules

It is very frustrating for me, I just installed the latest and greatest version of Drupal and now I am finding out that there are hardly any modules for it. Calendar, Image, etc.
Is there another site that has Drupal 6.x modules to download, or am I limited to the ones that are on this site.
Can I use 5.x versions of the modules?

Sorry, you have to wait to "your" modules are ready.
Mostly all Drupalmoduls will come to drupals downloadspage when they are ready.
If you have short with time, use 5.7 and upgrade later.
