Hi,
is there anyway the guestbook module could make use of the smiley module?
Thanks

sunWhich "smiley module" are you referring to?
Cyclist72 commentediweb is probably referring to http://drupal.org/project/smileys. If the guestbook were using nodes it would integrate smileys automatically.
sunWell, if that Smileys module implements an input filter, then all you have to do is to enable that input filter for the configured input format for guestbook entries.
Cyclist72 commentedThe input filter works but not the similey select box which is integrated automatically to nodes and the comment form when activating the smiley module. When using the guestbook you have to click on the smiley link in the inputformat to see all the smileys but you can't select and insert them by just clicking on the smileys. For comments and nodes this is possible. Maybe you can think about a integration for the future. From my point of view a integration would be more convenient. If the guestbook was using the nodes system such a integration would happen automatically.

neel commentedIf this happens... This will be very good for my website. People now using smileys on guestbook by remembering the code.
If they get such smilyes box as they are getting on every node for selecting any smiley it will be very good.
Please think about this combination.

sunI'm very reluctant to add special support for other modules. Instead, I want to decrease all of the existing specialties in Guestbook. Hence, marking as duplicate of #72607: Use entities for guestbooks and guestbook entries.
