Some advanced search options would be very useful.

Search for complete words
Use case: If I want to change the translation of "all", I'd prefer not to have to wade through 47 pages of "install", "allowed" etc.

Case sensitive search
Use case: Useful for catching capitalization errors. Also, if I'm looking for the translation of "All" it would be nice not to have to look through 11 pages of "all".

Search only in translation, not in English text
Use case: Sometimes, we borrow words from English. In some cases, we later find a better word in our own language to replace the borrowed word with. For instance, we're currently translating "feed" with "feed". Some time in the future, we might be able to agree upon which one of the several possible Norwegian translations of that word to use. When (if :-) that happens, it would be nice to be able to search for "feed" in the Norwegian strings only.

These options should probably be hidden behind an "Advanced search" link normally, to prevent the interface from being to cluttered.

One more: search by module(file) name, so we can review all translations within a module/theme.

zirvap: interesting ideas, and seemingly not hard to implement. There are some UI changes coming up, after which we would be better to revisit this request.
dami: you can filter by project. You mean searching by file name in the projects?

Yes, searching by file(module or theme) name. Here is the use case:

1. At beginning of project, we may want each translator works on strings from the same module. IMO, it produces much more consistent translations, since they are all done by the same person.

2. Toward end of project, we'd like to review translations module by module, it seems natural to split that way and again to make sure translations are consistent.

Tried to retitled this to be more useful, but having 4 requests in one is not possible to handle/discuss. So please open separate requests, if you are still interested.
