Is there a way for the module to automatically ID a connection? I'm registered with mibbit.com, have a registered nick, but have to manually id every time I connect...

The mibbit_irc module automatically passes your Drupal username to Mibbit.
I did the same thing you did (registered my Drupal username with Mibbit). It used to let me in without asking but now I get prompted to enter the "nick" I would like to use.
I wonder if they changed the Mibbit code to always ask for a nickname?
I'll dig a little deeper.

I just tested by going to the #mibbit_test channel.
The mibbit_irc module passed my username (without prompting me) to the IRC server and logged me in using that username.
It doesn't look like the problem is with the module.
