Description

I am not sure if this is a support issue/lack of knowledge of the module or if it is a bug.

I've installed Views, and have that working great. I've created a view custom views. Now I am trying to use Panels to grab one of these Views, plus some blocks. The Panel resides at news/737. When I go to that URL The view and the blocks show up in their respective areas. But. Other regions also show up. I thought that a Panel was a customized look, if I didn't include something, it wouldn't show up. however this doesn't seem to be the case.

Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to make sure other regions also don't show up?

It's almost like the normal page is rendered and then the Panel is rendered on top of that. If that makes sense.

I'm not sure about v. 5.x-1.2, but in v. 5.x-2.0 beta 3 you would click the "advanced" tab on the panels control panel, then click the box that says "disable blocks and regions" in order to override other layout features.

I don't see anything like that. Looks like I may need to upgrade to the beta version.

If the person is correct in their mention of v1.2, then you should note that v1 and v1 are totally different.

If panels 1 meets your needs, then use that. Panels 2 is a good way from completion yet.
