Had no problems with 6.x-1.0 or 6.x-1.02, but dropping version 6.x-1.04 in and enabling it removed all DHTML Menu options from the Blocks Menu (and therefore, not showing any DHMTL Menus that had previously been enabled).
This occurred on Drupal 6.1 and 6.2, Garland theme.
Removing 6.x-1.04 and putting 6.x-1.0 back in (and then 1.02 as well), everything worked swimmingly again.

_plucky commentedI also just downloaded 6.x-1.03, which also worked with no problems. Again attempted 6.x-1.04, which again failed. Deleted and put 6.x-1.03 back, and it worked fine again.

brmassa commented_plucky,
the 1.04 version changes things, making it easier: instead copy every and each menu block with a DHTML effect, now we can configure these blocks to enable the effect. So no more duplicates. Just go to admin > build > blocks and enable the original ones. Then configure them to use "DHTML effect".
For new users, it will enable automatically for all menu blocks.

_plucky commentedAhh, in that case I'll change the issue to "Readme.txt not updated", as it
still has the old instructions in it. Other than that, I found the 'DHTML Effect'
box and it works (at least in the Garland theme, it doesn't appear to be working
in Marinelli, so likely a theme issue there). Thanks!

Kitchen commentedBut other things seem to have been lost in ver. 1.04.
First, although I can enable the module, nowhere does a module config page show up, either in the Navigation Links, or under Administer > by Module. It's nowhere to be found. I wasted an hour looking for that.
The behavior where a previously expanded menu would collapse to allow a new menu to open .... seems to have been lost.
Also, allowing duplicates, where the first allowed you to click open the menu list, and the second entry allowing you to go to the parent page .... seems to have been lost in the latest version.
Am I missing something? Is there somewhere else to configure this?
Being able to access the parent page is important as it contains a lot of introductory material. I like being able to control individual block use of the DHTML menu, but it's lost functionality.

_plucky commented"(at least in the Garland theme, it doesn't appear to be working in Marinelli, so likely a theme issue there). "
It's now working in Marinelli without making any changes, so it must have been a Durpal Caching issue *sigh*

Kitchen commentedI'm using Blue Marine (but may switch to another theme later). It's just not working the way it's supposed to work. It's definitely allowing various menus to stay expanded, rather than collapsing. And certainly can't get the duplicates - one to expand and one to go to a parent page.

_plucky commentedAha! It isn't a Theme error, or a Cache error, it's a User Rights problem.
It works fine for an Administrative user, but not Anonymous or non-Administrative
Authenticated users. Are there more permissions that need to be set somewhere
else for this now?
Kitchen commentedIn our case, it's not a User Rights issue. We're still in development so only admins have access right now.

brmassa commentedGuys,

mikeormerod commentedI seem to have this issue with 6.2 and DHTML_menu-6.x.2.0 :-( There is simply nothing in Blocks!

l_charris commentedmikeormerod, check out the second post here. if you enable a menu and look at the configure settings there should be an option to enable or disable dhtml menus.
