Hi there,
I've just installed 5.7 and the .htaccess file gives me a 500 Internal Server Error
When I delete it seems to work fine.
My server logs read ".htaccess: order not allowed here"
Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the .htaccess file?
This is the file

2 Scenarios
1. If you have access to main apache's httpd.conf
Check for AllowOverride dirctive, and set it to All
AllowOverride all2. You are a shared user on the server and do not have access to main apache's httpd.conf
Start with only these lines in your .htaccess ; and then add others one by one. Exclude those who breaks your setup.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,

Thanks sudhaker :-)
I followed sudhaker advice, I'm in a shared server so I had to delete all of this;
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Protect files and directories from prying eyes.
Order allow,deny
# Don't show directory listings for URLs which map to a directory.
Options -Indexes
# Follow symbolic links in this directory.
Options +FollowSymLinks
# Set the default handler.
DirectoryIndex index.php
# Requires mod_expires to be enabled.
# Enable expirations.
ExpiresActive On
# Cache all files for 2 weeks after access (A).
ExpiresDefault A1209600
# Do not cache dynamically generated pages.
ExpiresByType text/html A1

Wondering if is there anything important there.
I didn't even tried with the PHP4 as my server runs PHP5
Any Idea someone?
Thanks
Human error
I was trying to move all my content from phpwebhosting to hostmonster.
When i finshed to transfer the first database and all the files of one drupal I get this internal server error when i go to base site.
I try to remove any of the .htaccess that I have on my space, but nothing succeed.
Also I put a test php file to handle if there is a problem with php and on as simple as:
cannot be viewed throwing the same error.
Php worked with the same file in a folder inside the drupal base install called test ( http://www.example.com/drupal/test/index.php ).
It was just a trouble with permissions, drupal folder was drwxrwxrwx while it must be drwxr-xr-x ...
Stupid human error...
