I have bio w/ advanced profile. i need some way to allow a user to either create a new company profile node or find one previously created by another user and become attached to it. so the community can see who works at each company.

I would use cck and nodereference CCK field type.

Hey, thanks for responding. i have it set up now.
just one more thing, though.. what options do i have to only allow users to only create a new nodereference entry.
right now, they could change other information on the node if i allow access to edit all 'company content type' (not just "OWN" company content type)
