Layout is broken when I visit other users profiles

When I visit my own user profile, the layout is alright, but when I visit other peoples user profiles, the lay out is broken. The blocks that are supposed to be in column 3 are sort of wrapped to the bottom left of the screen. When I switch identity the problem remains: the own profile looks alright, but other peoples are ruined.
Can anyone explain this?

what theme?
This sounds like a theme-specific issue. What theme are you using? If it's a contributed theme, you might have better luck getting help in the issue queue. And have you tried other browsers? If so, is it a problem in all browsers?

It is the Channel 9 theme, and as per your suggestion I tried it out: yes it happens both in IE and FF. I have had it in the past, but then it was a column that was too wide and pushed the rest back or some css said 'Clear right' but I cannot find something like that now.
