How to adjust theme (simplex2)

johnpdmccall - April 11, 2008 - 12:40

Hi Folks,

Where do I start to find out how to get a logo to display in the header top left of the screen in the theme simplex2?
I've got very very very basic beginners skills in css but willing to climb the hill a bit :)

Thanks for any advice.

Cheers
John

You're with Drupal 6?

  1. Make sure to copy the theme in your sites/all/themes folder.
  2. change the name of simplex2 to mytheme (what you like. Just don't use the original name). Also rename symplex2.info to mytheme.info
  3. make the necessary change in a the mytheme.info file
  4. You will find tips here: http://www.nerdliness.com/article/2007/09/10/drupal-theming
    or here: http://drupal.org/node/39451

Thanks Guy,
That helps a bit. I can do the renaming etc (have read the theming help files on that) but just can't see how to get the logo to display in the top left of the header.
I just wanted a reasonably quick fix but I think I'll have to learn a lot more css.

Thanks for helping.

Cheers

John
