I just installed Views 2 and want to edit the default frontpage view. I'd like to set my post settings (under content management) to 10, but only display 2 on the front page. I set the "items to display" to 2 in the frontpage view but it still displays 5 on the front page. it's like it doesn't recognize the frontpage view.

any ideas on how i could fix this?

i've the same problem with the frontpage on two installations. looks like a bug in the views module. whatever you set for the frontpage, nothing changes.

the solution is to create a new view under a different name and set it as the default front page in the site configuration. set the views filter to show only published and frontpage nodes. set sticky nodes and creation time as sorting criterias. th e created view looks exactly the same as the system default frontpage. you can now change whatever you like and it works.
