I'm just wondering if points are not given for cck nodes as I set it up to give points and although I get award message I look into the account and it still is the same number?

It works fine with comments and forums and pages.

Are there any known conflicts with any othe rmodules as I dont' see anything in the logs or drupal logs either.

The module does not differentiate between regular nodes and cck ones. It should work the same for both.

Perhaps your installation/upgrade had an error and the tables are not updated. Check the log to see if there is a PHP or database error when points are awarded. Also check if the txn table has an entry for every action that awards points.

Thanks for the response. Nothing in logs but no biggie since I'm just browsing modules at the moment.

Sorry for spamming the participants in this issue. Due to the release of Drupal 7 and the lack of time from the maintainers, I'm closing all remaining 5.x issues for Userpoints.

Feel free to re-open this issue or create a new one for 6.x or even better 7.x if this bug is still open or feature is missing for these versions.
