For some odd reason, when I replace the original url of the share icon with a custom one linking to a new share it icon, the changes made in CSS will not make a difference.

Btw...I edited the Share.CSS document. The new image is also 16x16. I've tried using opening and closing apostrophes and also tried without them within the url parenthesis.

Seems the image is taken from http://w.sharethis.com/images/share-icon-16x16.png in any case ...

If you are using the ShareThis popup, you will need to specify the icon path to use in the settings for that popup. The css path to the share icon is only used for Share popups.
