Hi everyone, especially hickory.
First thanks a lot for this awsome module!
Secondly however, I think we (the people from the neurovation project [www.neurovation.net]) are just too dump for the module. We have the following issue: We enabled the jrating module for a custom made content type. (If you create a account for the plattform, you can create challenges and post ideas to challenges, the idears are the content type I speak about). A first jrating works fine, you can rate, everything is displayed correctly. However, after some amount of time, the option for the users to rate disappears (for every user). The average rating is still displayed correctly. We think from our observation it is some specific amount of time after the creation time of the node. However, we found nothing in google [probably using the false terms] and also no admin setting to change something alike, and also nothing in the issues here.
Help would be really appriciated, since we would need it for another test who is already running!
Cheers,
Joerg Simon from the know-center (www.know-center.at)

hickory commentedI tried creating a challenge on www.neurovation.net but there was no rating - perhaps it's not possible to rate your own nodes? I found a rating on an older node that seemed to work, and one node that had no rating. Are you sure they're all the same content type? Other than that I can't think what could be wrong - maybe give Fivestar a try instead..

j_simon@groups.drupal.org commentedHm, so all idears (this added posts to challenges) are of the content type idea. The problem ist the following: The rating opportunity (not the display of the average result) dissapears after about a day. Maybe you check for instance tomorrow?
What I hear from your commend is, that this is unexpected behaviour (what I thought, because I couldn't find anything related to it)? Do you have any clue what could trigger it? We are some experienced developers, we didn't found anything in the code so far, but maybe with a clue we can find it, and then document it here, if the problem raises again. [Ah, yes: we are pretty new to drupal {as you can see on the plattform, which is realy alpha}].
Thanks a lot so far,
Joerg

j_simon@groups.drupal.org commentedHm, after playing a while with the problem, it doesn't seem like the form dissapears, but more that only two forms are diplayed per page.... so if you add 3 idears, just the first two will have the rating option. sill, the average rating ist always present

radianceinside commentedI've to admit we now used the fivestar module instead and the rating possibilities appear as they should (look for example on http://neurovation.net/en/showvnc/fbec13535540a83b69607c1a791594c66dd65a4d)
- If we change back to jrating, there are always only the 2 first rating possibilities appearing and the others are not rateable, therefore we are using now the quick fix, namely the other module.
Maybe, if we have time left later, we can try again with jrating, though fivestar is now working and other issues are waiting.
However, Thank you for all the help until now! We will try the best for the next time...
