I've started to dig into doing this upgrade. I've run the Coder module's Code Review and found the areas which need changing, but I'm hesitant to announce that I'm working this module because I'm out of my depth. I'll keep at it, but If anyone else is working on this, please contact me and we can compare notes.

I've received orson's start on this and am going to go through it today. I'll then start the DRUPAL-6--1 branch and anyone who wants to start in can check that out and submit patches against. Thanks for the start orson!
