I'm running Drupal 5.6 in a shared Linux/Apache hosting environment. In my "modules" folder, there is a folder for "blog," but blog does not show up in my module list or as a content type under "crate new content."
How do I make the blog content type accessible not only for me, but for users? The site I'm putting together will allow registered users to post their own blogs, so this is a key component. Since I installed a bunch of other modules and they all appear in my list, I'm not sure why the blog module doesn't. I kinda thought that was part of the core set that came with the Drupal installation...not sure though.
If anyone can help me figure out how to make blogging available for both the administrator and registered users, your advice would be appreciated.

Any module I've ever downloaded has appeared in the module list without fail. Did you download the right version?
Blog is in core
It should show up in the first section of modules under core optional. If it doesn't, maybe unpack that folder from your download again. Access control will let you set who can create/edit blogs etc.
