can you duplicate a module and give it a slightly different name so that I can have it set up differently for different roles.

other than having it write to different tables if this is required what else should i look out for?

I have the site user list module and it's great however I want it set up differently for normal users than I do for myself and the other site administrator

For users I'd like it to be set so that they only get a list of active members with username and real name and who have allowed there infor to be shown to other users, for me I want all accounts including blocked and users who do not wish to appear on the list.

I'm sure I can put in a feature request for this and plan to, but wondered if there was a way i could get the features now without having to wait (yes I'm impatient)

What you need to look at is the Views module.. A very powerfull way to customize any list. A little steep learning curve but totally worth it

suplly patches to the module in using teh issue query. If you are making changes that would allow for multiple type setups, create settings in the admin UI for this.

multiple modules doing very similar things clog up the moduels area. If reduncancy can be replaced by developers working together the entire community benefits as a whole.
