Issue Summary
the release misses the comment subdirectory containing the live-comment.js file

The dev version has the missing files.
Still, It's not working for me in my environment.

I can confirm that the Javascript file is missing in this release. Please make a new release where all the files are present. Otherwise people will think this really neat module doesn't work!
I'm using it on my own site now and it works really well. Its in use on groups.drupal.org also, that where I discovered it.

This is kind of a serious and fatal bug to not include an essential file in the module.

Just confirming:
a) .js file missing from the official release
b) the supplied .js file in the dev is there, but the version does not work
So version 5.x should be somehow marked as nfg until it can be fixed.

BradM - you are correct, the 5.x version is useless without the js file.
Please somebody fix this, I so want ajax comments for my site! The 5.x-1.x-dev version is broken and throwing sql syntax errors all over the logs for me.
