I'm a Scout leader and I've started work on a module for tracking my Scouts (also the Cubs and Beavers). It's based on the application ScoutCount II. It let's the leaders in our section share lists of people, members, events, and other sections.
Are there any other Scout leaders using Drupal? I've only found a small handful of Scout websites through Google. I'd like feedback from others to make sure we're heading in the right direction.

Not a scout, but looks good
I looked through the screens on Flickr. I actually see this as a pretty powerful tool for membership management in general. Do you think there might be a way to abstract this?
Actually, a complete abstraction would likely be too much work, but it could be the basis for a second membership management module. The role/activity history is especially powerful.
US Scouter
I'm currently in development of a new Scouting site for my Pack using drupal, it's not ready for prime time yet, but so far using some of the contributed modules (event + rsvp & feedback) I've whipped up a very nice little site, I've even written up a little module that I'm going to submit to the CVS that alters external links in a way that meets the requirements of the Boy Scouts of America regarding distinguishing external links to your end users (as well as meets the needs of most non-profit/government/educational sites that require links off your site be clearly identifiable from internal links).
But in my case I didn't really plan on doing advancement tracking via this site (we use PackMaster software for that purpose). But I'd defiantly be receptive to seeing your finished product...
Now in CVS
I've commited a version of this module to CVS. At the moment, I do not see it as a user-friendly module. This module is in use on my Scouts website and the CVS copy may still include some hacks in there that were specifically designed for that site.
I'll be putting in more effort to make the module more flexible and easier to use. I'm also hoping that the development of "wizards" will greatly simplify the (currently undocumented) install + setup process.
I can set up a demonstration site of the module if anyone is interested.
A demo of the module would
A demo of the module would be most interesting.
I also second Boris' comment about tracking membership/history. Would be very powerful indeed if it could pull data from events (events attended by member), rsvp, volunteer, etc., etc.,
Of course, this may not be exactly what Boris had in mind...
Demo
See the new demo available. More details of features etc on the site.
Thanks, I just tried the
Thanks, I just tried the demo and it works fine, although it is obviously customised for your site.
IMHO, this module would definitely add something very useful to drupal.
Specific
Yes, the module is pretty specific to managing a Scout group in the UK. It could be adapted for Scouting in other countries, but right now it contains tables that have a) name & relations of all the UK Scout groups, and b) a table with all the UK Scouting badges.
I've only seen one other group that uses Drupal (3rd Reading Scouts), so I'm pretty much making the module just for our own group at the moment - 19th Maidenhead.
