https, cleanURL and mod_rewrite

Hello!

I've a working site with cleanURLs and mod_rewrite working. I like to have a https server with the whole thing secured and for normal users (http) secure_login activated.

But I found out that after I set up the https host for apache that cleanURLs or perhaps mod_rewrite don't work for https. Why? I even changed the rewrite settings so that the rewrite is done regarding the port and rewritten to http or https in case ... but that fails.

Any idea?
