Hi, I want to create a new page that acts like the Home Page in the sense that I make posts in blog format with an image teaser and text teaser that when u click it goes to the full story with in text images (using IMCE) and other things like that. I can't figure out how to create its own menu item to include these in, all of these will be promoted to the front page but are all stored sepereately on their own menu item. ANy info would be helpful, thank you.

Add your own Categories ... Admin->Content management->Categories
Add new Categories(eg Topic) and new terms.
Then use Taxonomy Menu ( http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_menu ) to create a new menu block
