I have contributed several key modules which are sure to push Drupal to a whole new level, these include:
- Editor: The extensible, Drupal specific WYSIWYG editor.
- Plugins: jQuery plugin manager
- Sprites: CSS Sprite generator
- Chart API: feature rich charting
- Table Export
And the list goes on, and will continue to go on!

gregglesI was never really excited about the way that the list of modules you have painfully duplicative of other modules. The 7th Principle is collaboration. Some people like competition in the contributed modules world, though, so I was willing to overlook that.
So, you said:
Except that your modules are largely duplicates of existing things which means that others pushed Drupal to a new level and you've contributed to the anarchic chaos of contrib by duplicating them (for better and worse).
And then I saw your commit messages:

It leaves a lot to be desired.
Basically the question is: when you ignore the social norms of the Drupal community is it for a good reasons or for disrespect to the norms? I think it's the latter reason and for that feel that this should be postponed.

tjholowaychuk commentedFair enough. I do appreciate the criticisms, however I do not really agree with your statement about duplicating modules. To my knowledge no other module has attempted to create a Drupal specific WYSIWYG, my chart module again to my knowledge was the first of the bunch although I do agree that the various modules released after could certainly be working together. I would appretiate if you had a more positive look towards people who are trying to contribute, as for the commit messages, I am a very busy person as I am sure most of us are and I do not always have time to document every tiny commit as many are simply just me adding ideas to my todo lists etc.

tjholowaychuk commentedNot to mention I reviewed a few of the other service providers, and many maintain even fewer modules than myself (although they contribute in other ways I am sure).
