Only one text field being supported as a search option?

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your question. Is it possible to elaborate?

I don't use the bio module, but if you wish to search for bio module fields, I'm afraid I have to tell you that there is no integration between the finduser module and the bio module. Feel free to post patches.

The description of the Find User module says "....This allows you to use a module like nodeprofile or usernode or bio to extend your user profile and make it searchable via the Find user module."

I'm trying both the bio and the nodeprofile modules in order to decide wich one is best for my needs, and I also want to have a good user search funcionality on my site.

I thought that the Find user module could give me the possibility to search on all of my cck fields declared on the content type used for the user profile, thus I tried to use it to search on all of the fields that I have created on my bio module content type.

But, when I open the "Text field enabled for user search" in the configuration page of the Find user module, although it gives me all the fields I've declared on my bio module content type, I'm only able to chose one of these fields to be searcheable in the find user page. I would like to be able to select multiple fields, and not just one.

I noticed the same as Carlos and I also think it would be very useful if it were possible to search in more custom fields.

Feel free to post patches to extend this module integration with nodeprofile or usernode or bio fields. I can tell you that the original developer of this module has no intention to further extend it. I'm currently maintainer of the module and I'm accepting patches. So don't hesitate to create some patches.

I'll also be happy to see that functionality. It'll be great!

I've found a module that can be of help. It is "views_fastsearch". While it doesn't give one search field for each cck_field, it gives one search field that searches all the fields in the view.
