Hi, I would like to report this thing occurring in my site:

I have this views page set up as "search results", which works fine. The problem is that I use the views header for some important information, and on the first visit, and if no search results are found, the views header is not displayed.

I'm filing this as a bug, because I don't see any useful reason for this behaviour..

Could someone help?

thanks!

Mario

I have the same problem! For me its crusial that the view header is showing on empty results as well. In my calendar view I added a link to create new calendar posts in the header section. Users will of course get confused by the fact that button disappears for every empty week, day, or month. This link is ofcourse not the best way to remedy the confusion users experience from the separation of content creation and viewing, but its quick and works pretty well.

I don't think this is the best place to post this issue though. Perhaps the issue queue for views would be more appropriate?

Turns out it's normal, and you should put the information you need in "empty text". But, the problem I see is that empty text is outputted after the search results. I'm thinking of using a block that shows in that page only..

Ok, thanks alot for that info! Then at least I think my problem is more or less solved, should work if I put the link in both places, header and empty text (an option "same as header" would be nice, but perhaps that does not makes sense in most situations).

Hmm. Did not work for calendar view, tough luck. Guess I'm back at square one. :/
