Are there any major cons in using Drupal 5.7 instead of 6.2 for a small business website?

Right now I am considering 5.7 because the events modules haven't been ported to 6.2 yet.

5 works great. There are some nice changes in 6, but if you need something that hasn't been ported to 6 yet stick with 5.

I made the change to 6 and kinda wish I hadn't. I was drawn by the ability to assign URLs to my client's pages, which I really do need. But I have had so many problems that I may be moving away from Drupal altogether and into something a little less complex. My site is non-profit, and the amount of time that I have spent on the newer version doesn't justify out well.

Answering your specific question: I would say no. Now if you reversed the order of the question (i.e., major cons using 6.2 instead of 5.7) then maybe I'd say yes.

I like using the Admin Menu Module for an easier back end interface. It speeds up administration time tremendously. So far the Admin Menu module has not been updated to be compatible with 6.2.

actually, there is a patch in the issue queue that will work with the head version of the module. It seems to provide the basics of the admin links, just not the added local tasks. Ive been using it since it was posted-- no bugs, and way better then normal admin navigation (or dtml menus, which I've found to be somewhat buggy with my added jquery).

The major reason not to use Drupal 6.x yet is the fact that the two most essential contributed modules, i.e. Views and CCK, have not yet been ported to 6.x yet. That alone is reason enough for any serious site to stick with 5.7, for the time being - and probably a little longer, because after having been ported to 6 these complicated modules will most likely carry some bugs to be eradicated first. So, 5.7 is juuuust fine right now.
