Hello friends,
I am currently running drupal in my local machine with wamp installed.
After installing devel module i have come to know that page execution time varies from 3000 -6000 ms.
The wamp also consumes 90 % of cpu when i request a drupal page.
My drupal installation has around 30 additional modules and i have disabled caching.
Is so huge page load time of 3-6 secs normal for drupal?.
Most other cms load very fast( at least on localhost).
why is that my drupal is running so slow.I am afraid that if i make it live on a server, my site will stop working.
Any suggestions and comments..?
Thanking you in advance...

What are the modules?
I've had performance problems with Drupal in the past, and it usually was the addition of a single poorly written module that caused the slow down.
I suggest disabling all but core modules, and if your site is still super-slow (3 seconds on localhost is turtle slow), then your computer is most likely the problem.
