Description

Thanks for the useful module, appreciated! ...one idea though...

Now we have a setting: "...The time in seconds that will be shown every rotor item before change to the next one..." That's fine, on course, but the current behavior seem to affect also to the "transition time" (ie. if I've set the display time to 5 seconds, there will also be an "empty" 5 seconds until the next content is rotating)

It could be nice, if these two settings are separate... ie. display time and transition time between banners have different settings. Nice module anyway!

My 2 cents from Sunny Spain

You are right.
What I'm actually thinking to do are two things, first to make it work with image_cache, this way you can configure it to use a preset with a lower and standard size (make it optional) and the other thing I want to include is to make it preload the images before its their turn to be shown, that way when every image needs to show it will not need to load.

Thanks for the comments... I'll try to have these features ready really soon.

Nice module - but unfortunately not practicable for affiliates.
By the mean:
I am using a banner loaded from another website with an external link underneath (using a snippet).
As long as the affiliate web-site is fast enough everything seems to be okay BUT if not ..

My suggestion:
Pre-Load as you mentioned is pretty good and useful - but also check, whether the image has been loaded completely.

What do ya think?

The version 5.x-1.2 & 6.x-1.1 includes the fix to the empty transition.
The version 5.x-1.3 includes the feature that enables it to work with imagecache if it is installed and enabled, in the administration page will show an option to select which preset you want to use and this one will be used for the items.

With the use of image cache I hope that the load time gets faster. The module actually always loads the images, but hide the ones that are not being use. This way I think there is no need for preloading, but please test anyways and let me know.

Thanks for all your comments, I'll try to attend following request faster.

Still working to make drupal 6 version to work with imagecache, but still testing cause of no official imagecache version for drupal 6.

Keep posting, testing and requesting ;)
