I realized that this doesn't relate directly to the module. But since I installed the provided theme, I suppose I can ask you a question about the theming part. Is it possible to have a stand alone page template for drigg, and how? I can do well with node-drigg.tpl or node-drigg-page.tpl, but not page.tpl specific to drigg.

The problem is the given page.tpl overlaps with my default one, says garland. I managed to incorporate the codes given to the default garland page.tpl, but then it all is visible even when on user pages, etc. I also managed to create a url-based page templates, but it turns out to be tedious. Besides when it come to render the full node-drigg, it returns to call default page.tpl which I didn't want to. And I don't want to install taxonomy_theme.module. And I don't want to have drigg installed in a sub domain either. I just want it integrated into my existing site, only needs different page.tpl to handle it.

Thanks and sorry if it is out of context. Great module I've ever seen.

In the meantime I managed to handle it with simple if statement in the page.tpl to not allow the given template show in the place I don't want it to. Yet still wonder if any better solution to this. Thanks

Did I duplicate myself with http://drupal.org/node/248680? Awfully sorry. There was something wrong with my LAN connection when I submitted my latest post, then this duplication happened. Please consider the other closed.

Hi,

This is actually a theming question, and as a policy we don't deal with them. Sorry. I will try to help, but will only leave this open for 24 hours.
The problem here is that this is too vague:

"Is it possible to have a stand alone page template for drigg, and how?"

You can only have one page.tpl.php per site. Well, actually, you can have page-subdir.tp.php which will apply to anything in /subdir in your site. If you don't want to put Drigg in a subdirectory, I am not sure how you're planning to differentiate "normal" pages and "drigg" pages.

Please provide clear examples, with URLs etc., about what you want to do... But you're really MUCH better off asking the general Drupal forum.

Ok, thanks. Sorry for bothering you about this. I have no online example yet this far. Perhaps in the near future.

Actually I just wonder if it is possible in drupal to have a module-based page.tpl, like page-drigg.tpl perhaps. Forgive me if that sounds silly. Since there is such as page-user.tpl, page-login.tpl, in case of url-based. Thank you again for sharing such a great module ever. I'll try forum then for more info.

Hi gausarts, have you got Garland & Drigg theme to co-operate? We are stuggling with that; we've got the basic functionality up & running with a few small modifications to Garland but getting the full function of Drigg theme in Garland has been too big a job for us so far. You can see what we've got running at http://aussieinnovation.com/news

Actually we have different needs. I need to make drigg only take a small part of the whole garland. You want the whole drigg takes over garland, am I correct? I managed to do my part, thanks to conditional statements. In your own case, if, I don't get it wrong, you only have to copy any if statement from your drigg page.tpl and merged into your garland. Of course, you should provide any CSS modification to where you are going to place the drigg part.

If you want to do as I did with my part (see attachment), I'll be happy to help. But if you want other big modification, please specify exactly what you want. I haven't made my site online yet this far, due to other modifications I need. In case I can help I'll be there. I'll make this issue back to active, so others can also contribute to help.

If drigg is installed under a subdirectory of your site, for example: http://aussieinnovation.com/drigg/, then page-drigg.tpl will be used instead of page.tpl in your theme.

Drupal looks for a template file based on the current page's URL.

With URL = http://example.com/node/1/edit
Drupal would first look for a template file named - page-node-edit.tpl.php
then - page-node-1.tpl.php
then - page-node.tpl.php
and finally - page.tpl.php

I hope that helps.

Hi,

Again, this seems to be a CSS/theming issue...
I think it's best to move it to the Drupal forums.

I did this on my site La crise, the front page is completly customized and so is the drigg pages (look at the layout difference between article pages and polls for example).
Checkout the template.php files in the acquia_marina theme, it shows how to use suggestions. All I had to do was create a page-drigg.tpl.php file :)
