Can I get a count-up or count-down timer to work in the site Mission Statement?

Hi!

Is it possible to get this timer to work in the mission statement block in Drupal? I can't get it to work, but I don't know if that's because it's by design.

It should work in any block that allows full html.
Just make sure that you select the javascript load option -> 'every page' in the admin menu.
