What are your plans, if any, to port this to Drupal 6? Or does Drupal 6 have this functionality built in? or maybe there is another preferred solution?

andrewoke commentedI am actually porting it to Drupal 6 right now. It's finished, I'm just checking to make sure it works
Comment #3
andrewoke commentedAlright, this is the initial ported version of nodeteaser. I found that it wasn't displaying "Read More" in views, but the original author had this functionality almost built in. In nodeteaser admin settings you can choose to enable the "Read More" link.
I don't know how to submit this to package maintainers or how to offer it as the 6.x release so if anyone could help with that it would be great.

nancydruAndrew, even without CVS access, you can go through and start cleaning up the issue queue. A good place to start is with marking the 6.x issues as duplicates. You can do the same with the ones where you say you want to take over (which ideaoforder has offered).

matt bThere is no need for a drupal 6 version: see http://drupal.org/node/272419#comment-1353796

kansaj commentedHi Andrew,
I was looking at you code and I think it could have some problems
line 259 you call variable, but there is not default value.

mattwmc commentedI installed the above #3 and got this error:
Am I supposed to install Drupal 5 version and then ammend it (#5)? I'd rather have a drupal 6 version that I don't have to worry about doing anything with.
Or is there a quick fix as I see #6 mentions it as well.

Excerpt module appears to be the successor to this task in D6
