Node - teaser/body - search and replace
I created a Wordpress to Drupal desktop application importer. As you can imagine it's primary purpose is to convert Wordpress 2.1 - 2.5 users, categories, posts, permalinks & comments to Drupal 5.x.
As an aside the application also includes a 'Search and Replace' module. The idea is that after import of Wordpress data that some clean-up might be required in the posts ie. mass changing link references for images etc.
In order to use the 'Search and Replace' feature you don't need to import Wordpress.
If you have 100's or 1000's of entries where you'd like to change wording or href links then this module will do the trick. It's a simple 'search for' and 'then replace'. The search and replace only searches/replaces against the teaser and body fields of the node revisions table.
Caveat - Before use, backup, backup, backup, always backup.

Search and Replace to the rescue
Over the last 4 weeks I've had a heap of issues and problems with my site, concerning my host. A temporary fix, which I've turned into a permanent fix, is changing my site from prime357.org to prime357.net. All my internal links were absolute so I had to make changes and the Search and Replace feature came in quite handy. More here.
