When I set Underscore replacement to "No action" pathauto replaces it with "-".
When is set "Remove" - removes this symbol.

I just tested this on 5.x and 6.x and both worked fine for me. Is this still a bug for you?

Can you clarify the pattern you used, the words and underscores you tested with, and the specific results?

I'm using a transliteration for alias creating.
Patern is: module/[title-raw]
