mtolmacs commentedI'm sorry but I really don't see your point in this. What you described is the Drupal role management and it's already implemented in core. If you feel disturbed by the individual login per friend (your example), then create a myfriends user with a password everybody can remember and give it to your friends. That way you don't need this module at all.
Please provide more useful use cases otherwise I'll gracefully turn down your request.

DNM-1 commentedthey would still have to login. I was just thinking maybe i could just send out a password and when u access the site it simply requests the password before they are taken to the index.
o well never mind ill find another way to do it

FYI for ayone who may want this type of thing. Simple idea....
Just put an index page with a single phrase/word to enter before they access anythng else and redirect them to the drupal folder if it matches....
Just put drupal in another folder instead of the main directory...
