Hello, I noticed that the group information I retrieve from ldap does not get updated into drupal until second login from user.

For example, I have an ou=Staff in ldap. When I login with a member of "Staff", it does not appear as a group in ldap until the second time I login with this same user.

Any ideas? Is there a reason why this is happening? thanks

As Renata mentioned, this appears to be a dupe. It is fixed in 5.x-1.x-dev release & it will be in the 5.x-1.4 release.
