I like this module but feel it could be improved in the following ways:

1. It would be great if the module picked up on the date/ time settings for the site.

For example being in the UK I would like the date to be 23/4 not 4/23.

2. Adding a footnote about the "*" for DST would be useful as otherwise how do people know what this means?

3. The ability to add you own locations and set the timezone accordingly

Hope this is of some use.

Thanks for your comment for the improvement.

They sound nice and I will think about them for the next release.

Thanks again for this module.
My feature request is very similar to one listed here, so I am posting this as a comment.
I also would like to have a customizable display name for each time zone shown. So, instead of "USA MST", I could say "Grandpa's house" but display the time for USA MST.

Hi EdInJapan,

Customizable location list is a top of the list to do for the version 2.x. I need to make a big change for this (use MySQL database to store location data more efficiently). I am thinking of making it to be totally customizable. You will be able to add/delete locations or change the name of the locations too.

Right now I am working on the version 1.2 which will add some improvement (customizable time format string, etc) and this will be comming soon.

Thanks,

Showing the site's time is a great idea.

Liking the new version. I did find if I made the Footnote too long (for example "* Denotes Daylight Saving Time") then the time wasn't shown at all. Easy solution I've used "* = DST" which works a treat ;-)

@CliffHobbs: you can use <small> tags to make the footnote text smaller. There's a patch elsewhere in this issue queue that makes the helptext more clear that HTML tags are allowed.

Many thanks - just a comment not a whinge - this is a fab module now that takes pride of place on my site ;-)
