I am using Drupal 5.7 with the latest stable internationalization module and I need two vital fixes to be made. User simplulo agreed to pay $100 for each of the fixes if they are completed before April 30th - which should not be a problem as each fix should take an experienced Drupal programmer less than two hours, maybe less than one.
Fix 1: show translated list values and browse titles for i18n_profile. Right now it is possible to translate list values like "male" and "female", but the translation won't be shown. Similarly, it is possible to translate browse titles like "People who like %value", but the translation won't be shown. Both are saved correctly in the database, it is just a matter of changing the view.
Fix 2: have taxonomy terms (e. g. when viewing a list of several nodes that each have terms assigned to them) show up in the interface language, not the language the node was written in, provided the terms have been translated. This way it should be possible to understand what a node is about without understanding the node itself, so that people can choose to read it using an online translator or get somebody to translate it for them.
If you develop these fixes, you are excessively free to share them with the community; in fact José already agreed to add bug fix #1 to the CVS as soon as a patch is made available.
Thank you very much for your help in this!
