I'm running Drupal 5.7 and get the following error Error. One or both the nids equal 0. (sid=199,did=0) when I click on Add related, choose the content type and click save. Also the second form filed that is below the Content Type drop down is empty. I've attached a screen shot.

i get this too. in fact, i don't know what to enter as a value for the related item. it would be nice if it was just a select list or pulldown. i am using pathauto so i don't know what to enter. i try a simple node id but it doesn't save it. not sure how this is supposed to work. my content type select field is not empty though.

It's an autocomplete textfield. You should enter the node title (or some part of node title) to search by it.
