I'm working on a site where I need setup like that provided by the local_task menus used in node editing and such. I've looked into plenty of other options, like panels tabs and views tabs, but they seem to require too much manual configuration, need to be created individualy for each page, and are for the most part superficial. I need separate nodes with a shared navigation. With the amount of pages I'll be handling, I need a much simpler way of grouping my content that what is available. Local_task tabs seem to do a good job at this within the scope of administration so why not allow it for content display?

For a better idea of what I need to create check out this gamespot link:

There's a horizontal menu for game pages that allows users to select subsections for that game such as images, news and previews, videos, etc. That's what I'm envisioning.

How can this be achieved? Is it advisable/are there existing options better suited? What sort of cost would be involved?

Does this makes sense?

Thanks for reading.
