I installed the: taxonomy_vtn-6.x-1.0-beta3.tar.gz module.

Everything appears fine accept this warning at top of Taxonomy VTN settings:

warning: ksort() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /sites/all/modules/taxonomy_vtn/taxonomy_vtn_blocks/taxonomy_vtn_blocks.module on line 129.

Caching is off. Use setlocale is off. User friendly titles is on. The remaining basic settings have been set.

I have tried turning different settings off / on to no avail.

Any help as to what the problem is would be appreciated as I am a complete NOVICE at this stuff.

hm, looks like you have turned on block with no vocabularies.
I look for this and check what is a problem.
