In drupal 5x (i think) i could go into the translate, set up a new language and then search for interface components such as Blog or Add Content and make translations to Messages or Post Message.
This doesn't seem possible in the new version 6.2!
have they stopped you from doing this little trick or is there another wy of doing it now.

You can still use other language to do it with localize (core) drupal module but there's a speical module for it, try http://drupal.org/project/stringoverrides look at the screencast http://robloach.blip.tv/file/545202/
