In the admin screen for the module, selecting either of the catch-all tabs doesn't work, but selecting both to enabled does. However the tab is labelled with a "1". Is this a themeing issue?

Not sure. Please try with Garland and see if that works.

I'm having the same issue. The default value for "Basic" is disabled while the default value for "General" has no radios selected. Selecting both makes the tab named "1", selecting just "Basic" makes the tab named "0", and selecting just "General" doesn't have any tab created at all. This is using a custom theme, by the way.

I'd forgotten I introduced this into the 5.x branch, I was looking at 6.x where it was working fine.

Fixed now in 5.x.
