I highly, higly recommend that you remove your views module files and re-install from the tarball. There are at least 6 directories that Views needs.

merlinofchaos commentedMigrating should actually work very well; Drupal is capable of detecting. You can safely move the directory from modules to sites/all/modules and it will just work. BUT DO NOT COPY. Having 2 copies of a module within Drupal's search path can cause really headachy problems that you won't figure out until you delete the wrong copy. And you won't notice, really, until you upgrade one but not the other.
I recommend moving one at a time, then just loading your Drupal frontpage, until all the modules are moved.
