I said "general" because depending on what you want to do there are lots of must-have modules, different for everyone. But very few are ready for Drupal 6.
i noticed that. a while ago i had a pretty decked out drupal 5 install, totally tweaked out with tons of modules. i have a pretty fun linux server at home that i play around with. i installed 6 just to see what it was like. i guess since i'm not really developing i don't really notice that much of a difference. this is more just for fun then anything else.
