Hi,

I have installed a drupal site but have been having major problems. It seems you can only access the site by removing the www. part from the front of freestonegroup.com.au The tech support at my host suggest it is my .htaccess file that is causing the problem. Could anyone shed some light on this and perhaps tell me what I need to add to the .htaccess file (if that is indeed the problem)?

What exactly happens when you add www?
Are you using Drupal's .htaccess file unmodified?

Before going into details, try renaming your .htaccess file to disable it and see where www gets you. If it still doesn't go to your Drupal site's front page, then the problem was not .htaccess. If it does go to your site, there may be some error in your .htaccess.

I have disabled the .htaccess file and it still gives me a blue screen with 'cpanel has been installed etc.' Perhaps the host needs to reinstall cpanel as it works on a different site (not in the root directory though) that I have hosted with the same people.

That's your host, not Drupal.
